voice gateway forward digit query

Hi, have recently built two identical 3725 voice gateways that talk MGCP to call manager 5.1,

however, on incoming calls, one forwards 4 digits to call manager & the other forwards 6 digits.

any suggestions why this is the case & how I can alter it to just 4 digits?

I planned to have 4 digit internal extensions, however, on the phones that you can call direct on, these need to be 6 digit from one gateway.


I have this problem too.

Check significant digits at Voice port level in CCM Admin (Device|Gateway|Select the Gateway (T1, FXO,etc) and check that parameter) other option could be that your Telco is forwarding different number of digits...

Otherwise you may play with Translatio Patterns:

For example:

You recieve: 124000

Your internal dial plan will be 5XXX

You can create a Translation Pattern.

to be 124XXX and change under called party transform mask to 5XXX and you will be done...
