I have read several writings on the use of subnet zero. I have read that the subnet zero and broadcast are usable and then I read the opposite.
What is Cisco's take on this in their exam. I don't believe asking or answering violates any exam question. I just want to know what Cisco will consider correct.
Can anyone clarify and why so many different takes on this?
Thanks,
Gary

The debate about subnet zero is quite old at this point and has been pretty well settled with acceptance that subnet zero is valid for use. I suspect that if you check the places that you read which indicate that subnet zero is restricted that you will find that they are pretty old material.
While I can not speak for Cisco and do not know details of how they grade exams, I am quite confident that the current position of Cisco is that subnet zero is fully supported.
