I am upgrading my ACS 3.3.2 to ACS 3.3.3. I get following error during install process. Any idea what how to fix this. Thanks
The old installation folder appears to be locked by another application:
c:\program files\CiscoSecure ACS v3.3
Please close any applications that are using any files or directories in this folder and re-run setup "

Hi,
The error that we are getting is generally due to huge accumulation of logs in ACS installation folder :
Please remove all the file from following location and then try ( these files are debug files, so we donot require them) :
Please take a backup of following folder, if auditing is required in our organization :
After taking backup of this folder, please remove logs from following location:
- Stop any anitvirus software that might be running.
- In the end, ensure that if you are using CSMARS, and you are using pnlogagent, then that service is stopped, which can be done from services.msc.

I've seen this before - a reboot cures it.
To avoid this here's what I do before an upgrade.
1) stop all CSxxx services
2) set to manual startup (in CPL)
3) reboot
4) do upgrade
The problem seems to be that windows gets confused over locked files. Seems to happen more when using terminal services too.

I encounter the same problem to upgrade ACS 3.2.1 to 3.3.3 ( necessary step before upgrading 4.1 ).
It solve my trouble too.
Thanks a lot for that.
