What switch replaced a switch 2948 GL3?

3560, 3750 will suffice your need and will offer more enhanced layer2 and Layer3 features than the older 2948Gl3 switches.

IPX routing is not supported on 3560/3750 switches. You need atleast Catlyst 4500 switch for IPX routing.
