FXO dial forwarding delay

We have 4FXO ports on 2811 and CM5.0...FXO ports are directly connected to TELCO. 2811 is a H323 gateway.

When someone calls from outside, he hears two rings. After that fxo forwards the call to an ip phone. It means ip phone rings n times, but caller hears the ring n+2 times. How can i solve this issue? I want the fxo port to forward the call immediately...But how?

Seems like FXO is looking for caller-id.

Check with the phonecompany if they are sending caller-id. If they are not sending caller-id removed the caller-id command from the voice-port.

hi,

fxo port will wait for at least 1 ring to pickup the phone then plar to ur ip phone.

so in between the caller may wait for n+2 ring times.

you may check the command "ring number" , which defines the waiting time of a fxo port. and the default number is 1.
