Hi,
When configuring a transparent firewall - is it necessary that the two firewall interfaces be connected to 2 different vlans .
What if i am using two switches , one on either side of the firewall which are not interconnected ? Do I still need to use vlans ???
Thanks,
Vikram A

No you do not need to configure vlans in this case, just make sure there is no direct link between those two switches and there is no form of vlan or vtp communication between them...
