vista and client 5.0.00..340 error 412

all of a sudden i am getting error :- Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by thr client. reason 412: The romote peer is no longer responding?

I have tried reinstalling the client which fixes it some times but now it just wont work in Vista?

Any one have any ideas what else i could try?

I think a simple reinstall may not fix the problem if the windows registry got messed up. You may need to restore the client PC to an earlier point at which the client software was installed and working properly. Also check for the latest version of the client software available.

Did you ever find a solution for this ? I am having the same issue. The gateway accepts VPN connections from all of my XP stations but the one with Vista just doesn't work any more.

any thoughts ?

Yip i did it was a problem with my ADSL router at home, so made some firewall changes to it and it fixed the issue.

If you have a new firewall or router in place my be worth checking this out?
