Hi,

Split tunneling is configured at the client,

and its a configuration that lets the client use the tunnel for VPN connection (private adr.). Then for public Internet traffic the tunnel is not used, and traffic goes directly to Internet.

So it depends on company policy. Some companies will not allow split tunneling because they will control all traffic centrally, but that is in defiance of bandwitdh and delay.

HTH,

The Split Tunneling policy can also be pushed from the server to the VPN client.

When split tunnelling is enabled, You can connect to the Remote site over a VPN tunnel & access the Local LAN to which you are connected.

Cases where Security policies are stringent, Split tunnelling is disabled. The Client will lose connectivity to the LAN once he is connected to the VPN site. All the traffic travels to the Remote VPn which can include Internet access etc.

Usually Security policies do not allow a use to modify this from the Client.
