Is it possible to upgrade the blade firmware (not the rommon firmware)on the Sup IV?
There appears to be an issue with either the supervisor IV's (WS-X4515) firmware or the GE blade's (WS-X4418-GB) firmware. Currently the supIV is running version 1.2 fw. The GE blades are at ver 1.1.
Problem: DHCP broadcasts from workstations, connected to a port with port security enabled, don't pass through the router reliably. The workstation will burst 6 ea. requests at 0, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 second intervals. Only the requests at 16 adn 32 second times pass through the router to reach the DHCP boot server, directly connected to the same router.
I wasn't able to locate the info on the Cisco www.

No.. the line card firmware/Hardware rev cannot be upgraded in the field. 4500 is a centralized architecture switch and more than likely, it would be an issue with software on the Supervisor. Try a newer release such as 12.2(25)EWA9

Thanks. The softwares between several machines are all the same. Two work, one doesn't. That pointed towards the firmware...
I guess there is nothing to do in that case because firmware can't be upgraded.
