Catalyst 2950 needs an IP - How?

i need to be able to ping our Catalyst 2950 and SNMP onto it to monitor ports, how can I do this?

Hi,

For management purposes, you need:

interface VLAN1

ip address x.x.x.x (ip within your LAN range)

ip default-gateway y.y.y.y (your LAN default-gateway)
