Is this a typical use of 3750 stackwise?

Hi,

Imagine I have (2) application layer firewalls, one 'active' and the other one 'standby'. Please find attached diagram.

If I buy two 3750 switches and make the top one as a master, is that how the configuration should look like for high availability? My question is, In which network/subnets those NIC1 and NIC2 should be? (I mean, should the IP addresses for the respective NICs be assigned on separe networks to avoid loops?)

Also, in addition to the cabling involved when setting up the switches, do I need to do any routing configuration on those switches in order to make this work?
