Configuring Hyperterminal

Hi All,

Is one allowed to use TCP/IP (winsock) option of hyperterminal, since i ran out of comm ports but needs one more?

Secondly,i convert my LPT1 to serial (comm port)but unfortunately was not listed as part of comm ports.......why?

Please help if you can,

Providing you have set an IP address, enable secret and tty line password with login command, you will be able to telnet to the device using the TCPIP winsock option.

I am afraid I cannot help you with your comm port issue however.
