Hi all
I have 2 switches both switches connected through port no.44 as a uplink port, the thing is I configured vlan 15 on port no.44 in 1st switch as well as vlan 17 on port no.44 in 2nd switch now both will communicate or not.

Hi,
Yes they will communicate as both are access ports so the two switches have no clue about the vlans configured on others.
Hope it helps,
Krisztian

If they are in the same subnet they can talk to each other. Else they will have to through an L3 device

Hi anand
I've mentioned twice as port #44 that means 1 port in one switch 2 port in other switch.
Thanks

K fine,
even in that case also both of will communicate each other.
below is an example
switch-A
interface fastethernet 0/1
switchport access vlan 2
switch-B
interface fastethernet 0/2
switchport access vlan2
