Delete old IOS image from Cat 4506

Hello all,

I down loaded new IOS image that fit with our needs.

If I want to delete from the flash the old image to free some memory which command should I use? & Is there any downside issues?

Mo,

You can use the delete commnad

switch# delete bootflash:

The only issue that you can face is that if sup reboots after deleting the iamge file, it will go into rommon.You have to take care that the Sup doesnot reboot or reseated in the chassis.
