Dear folks,
Is there any document the suggests/recommends what traps should be enabled for fault management of Cisco devices?
I do not seem to be able to find the following MIB files:
CISCO-ITP-DSMR-SMPP
CISCO-ITP-DSMR-UCP
CISCO-ITP-DSMR
Any one know where I can find these files?
Thanks in advance,
T Dang

Hi T Dang,
That's a very broad question as far as what traps should be enabled for fault management. I think a good place for you to start would be here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk362/tk605/tsd_technology_support_sub-protocol_home.html
You'll see that much of this is dependent on the type of devices you're monitoring, the statistics you're interested in gathering, and other factors. Hopefully, that link is helpful.
As for the other part of your question regarding these MIB files:
CISCO-ITP-DSMR-SMPP
CISCO-ITP-DSMR-UCP
CISCO-ITP-DSMR
I've done some research into these, and it looks like these MIB files were removed as DSMR is no longer supported feature on ITP...so those MIBs are obsolete.
If you have a SGM, you still might be able to find them though. Either dowloaded from the from the sgm web page:
http://
there is a link at the bottom of the page.
Or The Zip file mibs.zip, located at the top of the SGM CD Image, contains these MIBs.
