ACL in Catalyst 6000 (TCAM exceeded)

Hi everybody:

I have an old catalyst 6000 (msfc2)running 7.6(6) in the supervisor. I configured some ACLs and I received a message about the TCAM entry is exceeded.

Performance in the Catalyst could be affected if ACLs are processed by software?

Arturo,

Take a look at the document link below. It discusses exactly what you are experiencing and suggests some possible solutions. In particular, you might be able to change the ACL merge algorithm from OIM to ODM to free up some space. I don't pretend to understand all of this, but just happened to run across this yesterday. Hope it helps.
