I recently upgraded my IOS (3750), and everything was fine. Now though when I try to boot I get the following:

Base ethernet MAC Address:

Xmodem file system is available.

The password-recovery mechanism is enabled.

Initializing Flash...

flashfs[0]: 3 files, 1 directories

flashfs[0]: 0 orphaned files, 0 orphaned directories

flashfs[0]: Total bytes: 15998976

flashfs[0]: Bytes used: 6656

flashfs[0]: Bytes available: 15992320

flashfs[0]: flashfs fsck took 8 seconds.

...done Initializing Flash.

Boot Sector Filesystem (bs) installed, fsid: 3

done.

Loading "flash:c3750-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEE3.bin"...flash:c3750-ipbase-mz.122-25.S

EE3.bin: magic number mismatch: bad mzip file

Error loading "flash:c3750-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEE3.bin"

Interrupt within 5 seconds to abort boot process.

Boot process failed...

The system is unable to boot automatically. The BOOT

environment variable needs to be set to a bootable

image.

I guess it's corrupted...how can I get another image from tftp? The commands available now are very few.

Please help!

Thanks, J

Hi

Issue a break while trying to boot. Once you are in rommon check flash to get exact filename that is in there. Try boot flash:filename.

If this doesn't work, I am afraid you are stuck with an xmodem recover over the console port. Unfortunately this is a bit of a nightmare, as you are stuck with 9.6k a second transfer. For details on xmodem please see the attached link

Hope this helps

Martin

Hi Martin,

Thanks very much for your response, much appreciated.

I am now doing an xmodem transfer.

Thanks,

J

It worked! Thank you, J

No worries. Did it just finish? They usually take this long.
