CCNA: Erase Startup-Config vs Erase NVRAM

Unanswered Question
Jun 8th, 2007

For the purposes of the CCNA exam, it it a true statement that "erase startup-config" and "erase NVRAM" are equivalent?

The appear functionally equivalent, but I was wondering if the CCNA test will require you to know about any differences between them?

I have this problem too.

The erase nvram: command replaced the write erase command and the erase startup-config command, and i don't think that the CCNA will alter this in details.

Agreed...I still use "Write Erase" is all the same...just revised in newer IOS and some are considered old.
