You need to go through the password recovery procedure. Just go on http://www.cisco.com and search for password recovery and the device type, for which you have lost the enable password.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

Do you have older configuration?

If yes, you can decrept your password by following applet link..\

http://www.fastcrack.com/ciscopd7.html

http://www2.tongzweb.com/tools/cisco.asp

If you don't have older coonfiguration... You need to recover by console.. follow steps Password recovery from cisco site. *******(Beware about your configuration)*************************

Regards,

Dharmesh Purohit

those tools only decrypt type 7 passwords. Enable secret uses type 5 (MD5). these are not trivial to retrieve. you will have to use password recovery and simply change the enable secret. hopefully password recovery hasn't been disabled.
