Hi,
If the serial link is down the load in the show interface serial X will be 1/255. But actually there will be no traffic in the circuit. Can anyone please answer me why it is 1 bit in the load ?

That value does not represent a bit value (1 bit) but a measurement value with 1 being the lowest.

Hi Edison,
Actually 1 represents some traffic movement in the link. My question is why it is not 0 because of no traffic.

As Edsion said that the lowest value is 1 and not zero and hence no traffic or minimal traffic is indicated by 1/255
