T,

You have Sup 720 and it supports Netflow on it. However,You would need to have a Cisco Netflow collector application that is running either on a Linux/Solaris server.

Informations data is avaialble and collected by

netflow but for doing the bandwidth analysis and/or reporting you will need Cisco Netflow collector application or 3rd Party netflow analayzer.

Cisco has Network Analaysis Module for Cat6500 for netflow accouting. The NAM has independent backplane interfaces for SPAN/VACL traffic and for NetFlow. The NAM uses the collected packets to provide information on applications, hosts, conversations, etc.

Enabling Netflow:

HTH,Please rate if it does.

Amit,

So based on what you see, there are no additional licenses or higher IOS level that they need to buy or upgrade to? I know the software looks like it supports it, but based on what you see, as long as they have a collector, which they do, they can just turn Netflow on on this device?

Tyler

They should be able to just turn on Netflow. There are no additional licensing requirements to run Netflow on the 6500.
