Hi,

Have an 857 that periodically spikes (Every 2-3 minutes) for approx. 30 seconds:

#sh processes cpu sorted | exclude 0.0

CPU utilization for five seconds: 23%/17%; one minute: 4%; five minutes: 9%

PID Runtime(ms) Invoked uSecs 5Sec 1Min 5Min TTY Process

4 473148 28447 16632 4.09% 0.88% 0.63% 0 Check heaps

37 311368 364703 853 1.63% 0.43% 0.71% 0 COLLECT STAT COU

During the spikes, there is not excessive data going through the CPE.

What is the "COLLECT STAT COU" process?

Any help in isolating what could be causing these spikes would be greatly appreciated.

NB: sh ip flow top talkers is not showing any node behaving abnormally either.

IOS:
