Hi
I'm trying to work out a list of the reasons to go either Unity or CUC if deploying VM-only.
So far, I believe that CUC has the following advantages:
1) Quicker setup
2) Speech recognition
Whereas Unity:
1) Better scalability?
2) Better non-CM telephony integrations?
3) Better networking with other VM solutions?
4) Option to upgrade to UM?
Anything else?
Thanks
Aaron

With Unity 5.0 you will get Speech recognition as well.

One cool feature of CUC is the personal routing rules, also easier managebility as you dont have to go to Exchange to for example setup quotas.
A big advantage of Unity is the ability to deploy a failover server.

Hi Chris -
You may want to check out Unity Connection version 2.0. Linux now available as OS. If you are looking at an isolated system, as in our case this will be tenant services for Airport vendors that have no need to communicate with County employee voicemail, no networking with existing Unity servers, I think this would be a great solution. The platform 3 will support 3000 users, 48 ports; plus the voice recognition software on box.
