StandBy / Active PIX

Hi ,

Will UR license on both the PIX can solve my purpose of running one PIX in Active mode and the second PIX in StandBy mode

Hi Neo,

Other than that,Both unit should run same software versuon and H/w model also should be same.

If you are running PIX s/w version 7.0 or later then you can get a relaxation on running the similar version of s/w in both units but the H/w version should be same.

does software version of PDM should also match in both PIXs ?

My both PIX are presently running 6.3(5) with identical hardware.

Does n't matter what PDM version do you running on the pix box.

But the firewall image version and h/w versio including size of flash memory /ram memory etc., should be same.
