www.microsoft.com website and MSN through Cisco 857

Hello all,

I've a strange problem on Cisco 857 act as ADSL router. Some clients couldn't open http://www.microsoft.com website and also couldn't online with MSN. The problem was gone when I replaced the Cisco with another router such as D-Link or Huawei. I didn't configure any firewall and IPS on the router. I already upgraded IOS to the latest version but the problem still occurred. How can I troubleshoot this issue?

Hi Nitass

Try with ur 857 and increase MTU size on WAN link.

I am assuming u have checked ur routing to websites as well as DNS.

Ti check DNS try to browse using an IP address instead of URL.

Thanks for your reply. I?ll try to increase MTU setting on the WAN.

Regarding DNS, all clients use the same DNS server address but only some clients got this problem. If you?ve any suggestions, please let me know.
