Cisco IP Communicator (CIPC),
Cisco Unified Personal Communicator (CUPC)
What's the difference between them? Just different name? Thanks

Not exactly. CIPC is basically a softphone, emulating phone functionality on your PC. CUPC includes several other feature such as collaboration, precense information, etc. Take a look at the following link.

IM is a big feature with CUPC. Web collaboration and Presence will require Cisco Presence server integration to the CM Cluster. IF you buy CM 5.x today, you will get 10 seats of presence and 10 seats of CUPC free.
