TSP to make calls from outlook

Hi all,

I have just moved from CCME to CCM. In CCME to make calls from outlook all I did was install the tapi driver and enter the username, password and the address of the CCME box.

I have installed the new tsp driver for call manager and entered all the information (I have left the use secure connection unticked) but I can not get outlook to see the line.

Is there some configuration needed on the call manager server?

I must have missed something 'cause this bit ain't rocket science.

Thanks in advance

Andy

Hi

In CM5.1 you also have a new step. As well as associating the phone to the user, you must also add the user to the 'Standard CTI Enabled' user group under in CCMAdmin.

Here are the steps of integrating Outlook to CCM. May be you miss something from these steps.

1) Add a phone

2) Associate your phone with a user and enable CTI use

3) Install Cisco TSP from the Plug-in page on CallManager

4) Configure TSP

Use the username & password from Step 2

5) Configure MS Outlook

A) Open Outlook and select contacts

B) Right-click on one of the contacts, and select ?Call Contact?

C) Click on the ?Dialing Options? button on the appearing screen:

D) Select the correct IP Phone and Line:

E) Click Ok

F) Dial

Press ?Start Call? to make the call

Make sure the ?Number? field contains a correct number that can be dialed from the Ip phone itself.

Hope this helps.

The problem is the line does not applear in your section (D)

Unforturnatly I think I have the answer:

Symptom:

TSP 5.1(1.1) can't connect to CTI manager in CM 5.1(1-3000-5)

Conditions:

normal installation of TSP from CM 5.1(1b) on windows XP SP2

Workaround:

there is no workaround

Further Problem Description:
