hi

i know its possible to copy an ios image form one router to amother using one router as a tftp server and another one as a client.

Now i want to copy the starup-config of one router to another router.i tried the following but does not seem to work.

from i router i did the following

tftp-server nvram:startup-config 1

access-list 1 permit 10.0.0.0 0.255.255.255

end

and then i tried the following but still ddnt work

copy startup-config tftp

hostname:10.x.x.x

destfile name :xxxxxxx

these two did not work

can anyone give me an idea of how to do this.the two routers can ping each other and i can telnet from one router to another

Hi,

Try to make "debug tftp packets" on the destination to see what is happening.

Hi,

IMHO you should have used

copy tftp startup-config

from the second router.

If doesn't work, why don't you use some tftp server on your PC (free 3CDeamon, e.g.) and download it to your PC and upload from it to the second router then?

Milan
