4.1(3) SR5/5B - any experiences? " Requesting Template" problem.

We have some 7960s with dual 7914s that are having a problem getting stuck in "requesting template" mode. Apparently SR5 is supposed to fix it. I see 4.1(3) SR5B is out. Anyone have experience with it?

Those phones are in remote locations?

If so what is the BW between those sites and any QoS fragmentation technique that you are using ? (ie FRF.12, MLPoFR...etc)

I experienced that issue in the lab with low BW in remote locations when FRF.12 Fragmentation was used.

Yes, they are remote/frame relay and have QoS, but no FRF.12.

I'm pretty sure the SR5 fix is going to take care of us.

We are using 4.1(3)sr5b, been on it for a little over a week. Had issues with 4.1(3)sr5a where some phones were having forwarding issues, but that was fixed in sr5b. I only have one 7914 is service but it is working fine.

Good to know. We're loading SR5B in a couple of weeks. In the meantime we've had no more "requesting template" issues and our fingers are crossed!
