I have Cisco IP Phone 7940g, i need to know if the GN Netcom 2220 headset is compatible with this IP phone, because if i connect the headset it is not recognized by the IP phone.
I thought this was an interesting question so I did a little research on GN Netcom and specifically the 2220. I called their support 1-800 centre and spoke to a tech who looked into this and the answer was "not supported".
I also found this compatibility page that also gives the "thumbs down" to the 2220. This page does list some Models that do work with the 7940 (both Corded and Cordless);
