Hi,
I have setup a callmanager 5.0 test box and the Service Manager wont start. I have tried restarting it using the relevent cli command to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Have you installed CM 5.x license on the box. The CM services cannot be started until and unless Node license file has been installed on the box. Incase you have not got the license file yet, email the PAK number along with MAC Address of your box to licensing@cisco.com to get the license generated and emailed to you

Thanks for the reply i was thinking that was why.
Is it possible to get an evaluation license?
As this is only a test box for CCVP purposes.

I dont think so. You will have to check with your Cisco Rep/Reseller and see if they are aware of any such copy being available. AFAIK, there is no such option available for CM 5.x
