Recommendations: Good book on signaling protocols

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone could recommend a good book(s) that would cover one or all of MGCP, H323 and SIP in depth (ie: In exhaustive painful technical detail with lots of examples of call setup flows in various scenarios :)

I've passed the QoS and CVOICE exams and working on GK/GW's. My concern is that while the cisco press GK/GW book dedicated one chapter to each of these protocols they coverage really does not seem to be deep enough to be useful in a troubleshooting situation. Not sure if I should be printing off RFC's at this point or not.

Thanks in advance!

This is probably the book you are looking for:

Voice-Enabling the Data Network: H323,MGCP,SIP

http://www.ciscopress.com/title/1587050145

Also, for a free white paper primer on all of the protocols, check out this weblink:

Thanks for this. I just found the "bookstore" section on the www.sipcenter.com link you sent. They seem to have a lot of good material as well.

Hi all

I just completed QoS and thinking of attempting next exams either CVOICE or GWGK and then IPTT & CIPT.

Can some one recommend good books for self study?

thanks in advance
