I'm trying to test different scheduling policies and I'm studing all scheduling algorithm. But I can't understand the difference between CQ and WFQ algorithm. In which case should we use WFQ algoritm rather than the other?

Hi,
The main difference is the CQ is classed based until the WFQ is flow based queuing algorithm.
Pls refer to this link for further details:
Hope it helps,

Hi,
CQ and WFQ work in different methods. if you have a specific set of traffic and you want to give specific bandwidth for each classes you can use CQ. But in case of WFQ, you dunno what all traffic flows and you want to give better priority for low volume applications But there is no bandwidth guarantee. it will divide the whole bandwidth available with the number of traffic flows. This makes the low volume get better bandwidth.
