There are two locations: A and B, location A is the main one and B is the remote location.

Location A has the following scenario:

- Router Cisco 3845 with Cisco IP Phones on the LAN Segment.

- AS5350 Voice Gateway.

- Cisco Call Manager.

Location B has the following scenario:

- Router Cisco Series 2800 with Cisco IP Phones on the LAN Segment.

- AS5350 Voice Gateway.

- Cisco Call Manager.

Notes:

- Location B connects to Location A through Frame Relay (with Multilink Interfaces) and MetroEthernet.

- The phone service provider CPA through which ALL IP phones go through to make and receive an external call is in Location B.

- There is some QoS applyed to the interfaces so the Voice does not fail.

- The IP phones in location A register in Call manager in location A.

- The IP phones in location B register in Call manager in location B.

Problems:

- Cisco IP Phones in location A DO NOT hear anything coming from Cisco IP Phones from location B.

- Cisco IP Phones in location B DO hear everything coming from Cisco IP Phones from location A.

- Cisco IP Phones in location A CAN make and receive external calls but DO NOT listen to anything coming in and the other side DOES listen to

everything coming from location A.

- Cisco IP Phones in location B CAN make and receive external calls and listen and talk normally.

- All Cisco IP Phones can make and receive calls from other brand phones in the company that are not IP.
