Can anybody please show me where I can download an IOS for a Sup3 on a 4006. The main download links only send me to old CatOS images for a Sup1 and 2.

Thanks!

I have this problem too.

You can't run IOS on 4006 switches. You need to upgrade the chassis to a 4500 series with Sup II+, III, IV or V.

I currently have a Sup III installed in a 4006 chassis with an older IOS image loaded in it. When I follow the "Download Software" links from the main page, I can find the 4006 in that folder heirarchy thing, however it takes me to images for the old SUP I and II.

I can't find any links on cisco.com for IOS images for the SupIII. Any help/links is appreciated!

So in the "feature navigator" can I use the IOS images from the "CAT4500-SUP3" option for use in my 4006?

Now I'm confused. It is definitely a 4006. The chassis has 4006 printed on it and the sh ver confirms it. Here's a copy of my sh ver:

Hi,

On, the feature navigator, choose 4506 with sup 3 and you'll get your IOS (4006 uses the same IOS as the 4506).

Give it a try and feed us back.

Note: I think that what you are using is the latest code.

HTH,

Mohammed Mahmoud.
