I currently have a Sup III installed in a 4006 chassis with an older IOS image loaded in it. When I follow the "Download Software" links from the main page, I can find the 4006 in that folder heirarchy thing, however it takes me to images for the old SUP I and II.

I can't find any links on cisco.com for IOS images for the SupIII. Any help/links is appreciated!

NOTE: But as Edison has said it should be 4500 with Sup3.

So in the "feature navigator" can I use the IOS images from the "CAT4500-SUP3" option for use in my 4006?

Yes go ahead as they both use WS-X4014.

Supervisor Engine III (WS-X4014) is supported on these Chassis: 4006, 4503, 4506.

It sounds like you have a 4506, not a 4006. Can you post a show ver ?

Now I'm confused. It is definitely a 4006. The chassis has 4006 printed on it and the sh ver confirms it. Here's a copy of my sh ver:

Ah, you have WS-X4014. That Supervisor is the same from a 4503/4506 switch.

Select CAT4500 Sup3

Hi,

On, the feature navigator, choose 4506 with sup 3 and you'll get your IOS (4006 uses the same IOS as the 4506).

Give it a try and feed us back.

Note: I think that what you are using is the latest code.
