Hi List, we've adquired a new ACS v4.1 Solution Engine, before we used UCP, with ACS 3.2 Windows based. Can I enable UCP over ACS Solution Engine? is it possible? or maybe I have to use a diferent server...
Thanks...!

Omar,
UCP can't be installed on Appliance, you need to have another server. AS ACS SE is build on
a hardend Windows OS, and is not accessible as a normal Windows OS server.
If we want to use UCP, we need to install UCP on a seprate Windows server, which has IIS
server running.

I agree with Jagdeep
Also would recomend checking the following link for UCP:

Thank you for your response, but at this moment a Windows Server is impossible for me (reason: money) other possibilities? Apache/Linux?

Hi,
I have made it to run on Apache server, though only tested with HTTP, not HTTPS. But I know this for sure that it works with Apache.
Instructions will be same as for IIS, just make sure that you give enough privileges on "securecgi-bin" folder so that it can execute the scripts.

Have done this long way back. But yes this works.
Its worth a shot.

Hi,
IIS 7 is not tested with UCP, so it may/may not run properly. And it has not been tested with vista desktop.
To make it run, please ensure that you have following requirements fulfilled ,
To install UCP, you must have a web server that runs either:
?Microsoft IIS 5.0 (included with Windows 2000)
?Microsoft IIS 6.0 (included with Windows Server 2003)

FYI,
/-------------------------/
To install UCP, you must have a web server that runs either:
?Microsoft IIS 5.0 (included with Windows 2000)
?Microsoft IIS 6.0 (included with Windows Server 2003)
/-------------------------/
So if you face any issues with operation of UCP on Apache, TAC may not be able to help.
But we are here, so lets try our best :)
Cheers,
Prem
