Help with Caller ID

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with the problem below.

We are running Cisco CallManager 4.2 with a 2821 Integrated Services Router as the Voice Gateway to the external PSTN (ISDN PRI).

Whenever someone rings out of the office, the number is seen externally as coming from a single person's phone, no matter who it is making the outside call.

Not sure to look at the gateway or someother area of CallManager?

In the gateway config I have set outbound "Caller ID DN" to be 02890568XX but the number always comes from

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ok since you are using ISDN PRI.

Telnet into the vGW and do a debug isdn q931 then term mon.

You will see Calling Party number IE. in SETUP message

that is the caller ID you are sending to the PSTN. Paste this output, is this the same number PSTN user is seeing?

Othwerwise you may check with your Telco. or play with num type and num settings in CCM or maybe the GW if H323 or SIP is overwritting this value.

BTW are you using H323, SIP or MGCP?

That is what GW is sending to Telco

Which type of GW is being used?

SIP,H323 or MGCP?

Calling Party Number i = 0x0081, '0289056800'

If no translation in GW, CCM is the culprit, please provide detailed CCM trace.

Thanks

We are using MGCP.

You can see the Calling Party Number above is 0289056800 even though teh call was made from a phone with a different extension to that. This is the number the external PSTN users are seeing.

So, I can now safely assume it is not the Telco as this is the number we are sending them.

As I said, on the gateway we have the "Caller ID DN" Set to 02890568XX and in CCM itself, also in the Router Patterns we have not set any values under the "Calling Party Transformations" section.

Thanks for your help.

Attached is a detailed CCM trace. Showing a call initialization.

Any one got any idead about this?
