This is the error I get when I try and set the 8.02 image as the boot image. Any suggestions?
[OK] asdm image disk0:/asdm-602.bin
[ERROR] boot config disk0:/asa802-k8.bin
Unable to set this url, file has non-ASCII characters

Do you have two images now in the ASA box? if yes, remove the old one(take back-up) and place the only image which you want to use.
Did you get the same problem with the 602 image also? if yes , check whether 'disk0'
is fixed properly in the hardware.
Let me know the status

Ok, this is what Tac had to say:
The problem is the command you are using, instead of using
boot config disk0:/asa802-k8.bin the correct command is:
boot system disk0:/asa802-k8.bin
Funny thing was I was using the ADSM upgrade tool and not the CLI, so I issued the CLI commands and it worked just fine.
