877 DNS Configuration

I recently installed a Cisco 877 ADSL Router connecting to our ISP over PPPoA.

We have a Windows SBS 2003 running DHCP and providing DNS to all the clients on the domain.

Since installation, internet address look-up has been slow and I think it's the DNS setup within our LAN...

DHCP allocates the client DNS server, as:

192.168.1.5 (local)

212.23.3.100 (Global - ISP)

The Router Configuration File is set as attached.

Should the Router and/or be set with the Primary DNS of the SBS Server or The ISP DNS servers?

tia,

Stu Gerrard

Hello,

As I saw in the router configuration there is no any DNS forwarder settings in this case you need use the Global - ISP DNS server instead of the router IP.

It should work fast...
