Can you connect router ethernet interface to a switch routed port. if yes what is the benefit? Thx

yes it is possible. this could be usefull for example to make dynamic routing between the router and the L3 interface in the switch.

The primary benefit of connecting a router to a switch's routed port is any spanning tree issues in the network wouldn't affect the routing between the switch and router. If it's an option it's desirable to setup routing this way.

I know straight through cable works fine for this setup.
