I'm half way through CCVP having done CCNA some time ago. I plan to do CCNP as well as soon as CCVP is done. Not that it really matters but I'm curious from those who have done both programs which track do you consider more challenging in term of the exams/knowledge required? ie: Is CCVP harder than CCNP or other way around?

It depends on which track you are more familiar with.

For example for me CCNP was drastically more challanging becuse I don't deal with routing and switching as much as voice on daily basis. For example I've never dealt with IS-IS, and other CCNP covered technologies.

I am guessing that R&S guy would tell you the opposite as they may not have the IPT expereince necessary to pass the CCVP exams.

My suggestion is to finish up the CCVP since you're half way through and tackle CCNP next. (that's the path I took)
