A multi port router is required to facilitate connectivity to various applications like Data Terminal (EIN.35), VoIP Equipment, Video Conferencing Equipment, Work Stations etc at each site. It will also provide flexibility to collect data centrally and forward to BEU before data is sent to IDU.
