vpn connection via rooter

Hy evryone.

I have a big problem. I use vpn for the first time. I have a network with 3 computers. I want to connect via vpn to my workplace with all of the PCs. But with the rooter i can't. If i use a direct connection, without a rooter the connection is working. Can anybody help me? Thanks for all.

What is the kind of VPN that you are talking about, what is your router platform, and what do you mean by direct connection ?
