Hi

As per attached diagram, i am using OSPF as routing protocol , i want to reach from R1 to R3 and as per ospf rule , it will take shorted path so it will go to R1-R2-R3 or R1-R4-R3 .

But i want to send traffic R1-R2-R4-R3 without shutdown any serial interface. i want to use route-map, Please send sample config or good documents.

Diagram is missing. However, OSPF does not use only the hop count, but the metric on the links. So, if you tweak the ospf metric, you can consequently influence traffic. Route maps would not help in this.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

By increasing OSPF cost on the link between R2 and R3 and also R1 and R4 you could also achieve this. This can have the effect that traffic from R1 to R4 may also go via R2, and from R2 to R3 via R4. You'll have to be careful tweaking this if you choose to use OSPF cost.
