Connect a Switch to a Router

I recently become a network administrator of a network with about 50 nodes. I saw some thinks who the other guy did and i am not sure if this is right. He has some connections which RouterA is connected to SwitchA and then SwithcA is connected with onother RouterB. Is that right or bad design. If it is ok what's the reason to do such thing

There's nothing wrong with connecting two (or more) routers to a switch. It's done quite often.

Without knowing what is behind those routers and the reason to use a router instead of a switch there's no proper response possible to your question.
