login banner does not appear on ASA 5540 with ssh version 2 enabled

Hi, recently i connected in the network a failover system ASA 5540 [Version 7.2(2)] (active/standby). I have added the command login banner and I had already enabled ssh version 2. Unfortunately when i make an ssh session to ASAs the banner does not appear. Does anybody know why this happen? Thanks for any help!

Sorry for the short response. Use "banner motd" instead.

they were looking for a login banner. The motd doesn't show up until after one logs in.

Why isn't this supported for SSH?
