LAP not associated after the WLC code upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1

Dear All,

In the wlan setup Mgmt int, AP mgr int, APs are kept in the same vlan subnet.

The code on the wlc is 4.0.xxx. In this condition APs are associated. But when i upgrade the code from 4.0.206 to 4.1.171 the APs are not associated and the JOIN message from the wlc is missing eventhough the AP sends the discoveryrequest. Also i am getting No AP manager ip addresses remain" error console message.

What is the problem and the solution to solve it.

Try to reset the controller and reconfigure it . If not downgrade the controller version

where you downloaded the new IOS image there is a PDF called "Wireless LAN Controller Release Notes for version 4.1.171.0"

there are details explaining the process and various issues with the upgrade to the latest version, it is woth reading this before downgrading
