I have two routers, a 2600 and a 2801, both with dlsw+ for mainframe access. One connected to my primary WAN connection and one on a backup. I need to be able to monitor the status of the dlsw connections to be able to redirect traffic in case of a failure.
I've seen that there is a MIB for dlsw, but it's less than clear which OID gives me status. (I suppose I can count cicuits, but that's plan B).
When status is determined - can I via a script on a server change the configurations of these routers to transfer the traffic from one to another? Via SNMP or otherwise?
Or am I barking up the wrong tree to solve this?
Kind regards

For config changes on routers have a look at:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/tech/tk648/tk362/technologies_tech_note09186a0080094aa6.shtml
For DLSW+ status have a look at the CISCO-DLSW-EXT-MIB and objects like:
cdeTrapTConnUpDown
cdeTrapCircuitUpDown
These are actually traps

Could you send me the document via e-mail? it requires a CCO login, which I do not have...
Kind regards

This link below should work without a login:
