PIX 501 & 506 PDM Question

Hello,

I have a question regarding the PIX 501 and 506e using PDM. When I first set up the device I am able to connect through PDM using the default settings, however when I change the internal IP interface and configure the laptop I?m using to utilize that network I am no longer able to connect using PDM. In order to gain access again, I have to unplug the firewall so it resets to factory settings. Thanks for any help in advance!

Hi Greg

Try adding to the config

http "your new IP address" 255.255.255.255 inside"

You need to allow your internal IP address to have access.

try

http 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 inside

telnet 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 inside

or per subnet

http 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 inside

telnet 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 inside

This way you are not bound to your IP only accesing the pix, you can now access it from any inside subnet.
